Be kind to each other, and be gentle with yourself.
D'Load: Terence Trent D'arby & Des'ree "Delicate" I used to put this on so many mixtapes it became a cliche and I couldn't bring myself to listen to it for years. Well, it's back. It's an important message. I love when self-helpers say "be gentle with yourself" because it makes people seem small and delicate instead of hard and abrasive.
D'Load: "Thinking About You" Remember that moment when you discovered Frank Ocean, that was magical.
D'load: Kate Bush "Cloudbusting" I had a boss named Kate when I was 22 or 23, she recently popped up on my Facebook 'people you may know' and it gave me chills of nostalgia, warmth and a little fear. I remember being so intimated by her swag at the time. She had a power over straight men, lesbians, straight women and gay men, in that exact order. It was enviable and fun to watch. I learned a lot from her, but sadly my power works in the opposite direction, which is causing some problems right about now.
That description had nothing to do with Kate Bush, this song or this incredible cinematic video (or did it?) but that's the new blog, left turns all over the place. As Muu Godney Muse would say, "A little more personal (raw)".
