PopMuse.com is 3 YEARS OLD today.  I've never mentioned blog birthdays before because, well, who really cares?  But since I've got nothing else to say, I thought I would mention it. 

Being the PopMuse has provided many surprises and infinite enjoyment, seriously folks.

Over the years PopMuse has been many things to many people.  We've covered gossip, trends, vintage videos, current vid clips, music downloads, personal revelations, blah blah and boom boom...  It has been a place for me to share my musings of the moment.  And I thank you, my faithful readers, for hanging out at my water cooler.

In honor of PopMuse.com's B-Day I wanted to link some old posts that have received bizarre or noteworthy comments.  Because without you, PopMuse is... you know.

Who knew a Gay Joke about Jared Leto would turn into all this. 

Or that 90's Female White Raptress MISA would illicit an email from the lady herself.

Or that Nolan Thomas' Mother would come to his "Yo Little Brother" defense.

Or that Madonna fans and haters would feel so passionately about "Super Pop".

Or that Carrie Fisher (the human) would find Carrie Fisher (the dog).

God Loves Celebrities

Ever wonder what bedtime conversations in the PopMuse / Bloghungry Bed sound like?  Well, last night lying in bed watching Academy Awards Post Shows, Bloghungry turned to me and said, "I think I'm gonna start believing in God again."
PopMuse replied, "Really, why?" 
Bloghungry: "God is a starf*cker.  While sick children die in hospitals, war continues and famine plagues the world, he/she is really only concerned with furthering Jennifer Hudson’s career, giving Oprah a higher thread count sheet, and offering sports fans their Super Bowl winner.  On behalf of pretty rich people everywhere, I praise thee." 
PopMuse: "Agreed, goodnight."
Carrie Fisher: "Sigh"
Bloghungry:  "And wouldn't that make a great movie... God as a st*rfucker."
PopMuse: "Yes, but only if Tyler Perry plays God."

SWITCH.  And what did PopMuse think of The Oscars?  B-B-Boring!  It's an irrelevant show now.  It's become too much of a 'convention' and too little of an 'event'.  The women are like walking corpses and the men are like walking closets. 

Maybe I was just pissed that even after the Dreamgirls tore it up performing, they gave a trophy to Melissa Etheridge (who has been singing that same song for 15 years now.)  Or maybe it's because the Golden Globes are so star-studded from beginning to end, it makes The Oscars seem second rate? 

I found myself wishing ABC was just playing their regular schedule of "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers and Sisters" weren't you?

Heart is the new Spirit

Or Heart is the new Passion?  Either way, if there is one thing we learn from E!'s "HOUSE OF CARTER'S" it's that HEART is IT for Fall 2006.  These Carter's do nothing but justify just how big their um 'heart' is.  Oh yes, and how hard said heart pounds (tends to happen when you are high as a kite on Cocaine, um Carters.)

... this morning I put on the t-shirt you see to your left.  (It's by these very cool designers that used to have a store and line of gear here in LA called Charizmatik.  They have since shut down the store and stopped designing, sad.)  Anyway, they used to sew these little hidden messages inside their clothes and the quote above was one I discovered this morning. 

I wish they were still designing.  Maybe someone will read  this and breathe life back into Charizmatik.
