Kylie Aphrodite Tour Live @ Hollywood Bowl 2011

Saw Kylie this weekend.  She was wonderful.  Kylie stands on the stage and just loves every second of it, and it's a joy to watch.  But bizarrely my favorite moment from the show was one where she wasn't onstage.  I know I know, but I loved the video projections to this remix of Confide In Me soooooooo much.  This sweetie was kind enough to school me on which remix it was and now you can hear it too. D'Load below.

Kaskade was the opening act for her.  Now, I know there were some conflicting opinions on his DJ set, it was a bit heavy on techno for sunset, but he dropped one jam that was BANANAS and had that transcendental feel I think everyone wanted from him.  He played it just as the sun officially disappeared and night took over.  Listen to the mix I'm talking about below...

8 years ago today a producer met a pizza boy, they kissed and their lives were changed forever.

Every May I do a mix to commemorate my love affair with Bloghungry.  It's a journal entry mix, a bunch of songs that tell the story I want to tell at this moment in time, reflective of this time in our lives but also looking back, forwards, sideways...  Oh, and this is not a Boom Boom compilation, there is dance music on here, but you're going to have to feel the slow build to get there, this is an Concerto in 3 Movements and song order and pacing is vital to the story.

Robyn - Hang With Me (Drop Out Orchestra Rework)

 Let's take a minute and appreciate Drop Out Orchestra's remix of Robyn's "Hang With Me" (my favorite track from Body Talk).  This mix has been around a while, and thanks to @ifoxalot for sending it to me originally.  I've already had my fan worship moments for Drop Out Orchestra and this mix in particular on Twitter, but it came on again recently and inspired a strange and funny stream of consciousness email I sent to myself, cause I'm nuts and this is what I do when I'm in the cell phone lot at LAX playing disco music too loud at 8am...

Becoming Chaz on OWN

PopMuse was lucky enough to see a screening of this wonderful doc about Chaz Bono called Becoming Chaz.  Yes it's about his transitioning but it's really about a girlfriend-girlfriend to boyfriend-girlfriend relationship and a mother-daughter to mother-daughter-kinda-ok-with-you-being-my-son relationship.  Needless to say it's a must see and it's on OWN this week.
