Boom Boom Blog 09-29-10

Boom Boom Time!!!  The good thing about not blogging a lot is when I do I have a ton of amazing music to share with you readers.  This is a super-sized BOOM BOOM BLOG and you are gonna thank me for it!

I love this collection, all stellar pop dance remixes.  And of course Rampus did a wonderful job creating a continuous mix out of these tracks, so electric and alive!  Get ready to BOOM!

D'LOAD: RAMPUS CONTINUOUS MIX

Katy Perry "Teenage Dream" (Manhattan Clique Club Mix) Having a real moment with this track. Who would have thought, it just works for me.

Shontelle "Impossible" (Johnny Vicious House Mix) Is a better ballad than dance mix, but still quite good.

Bruno Mars "Just The Way" (Nu Addiction Mix) This is that kind of emo-dance mix that I loved loved loved when boy bands did 'em in 2001.

Estelle - Fall In Love (Seamus Haji Remix) Estelle is comin kinda hard with her new stuff, right?

Miss Jane - Its A Fine Day 2010 No Matter how many times they update this track, I'll never tire of it, true club classic.

Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) (Mixin Marc & Tony Svejda Remix) I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS RIHANNA!!!

Marina & The Diamonds "I Am Not a Robot" Flex'd Rework [Passion Pit Remix]  Do you all know who the "Diamonds" are? Look it up.  I owe Marina, she was nice to PopMuse last week.

The Divine Brown "Sunglasses" (CajmereRayVocal) CLUB - ya know, just club.

Kylie "Get Outta My Way" (Bunch Of Shit Mix) Decent mix to the hottest song.

Gaga "Monster" (BuZZ-Boi's Ranny & Bryan Reyes Edit) Ready for new material from Lady Gaga, but this mix is nice.  What's next Ga?

Kaci Battaglia w. Ludacris "Body Shots" (Dave Aude Club Mix) This could have been a great Pussycat Dolls Track.

B.O.B Feat. Bruno Mars "Nothin' On You" (Temabes Remix)  Feeling this overplayed to death top 40 radio track ONLY in club form.

HURTS "Wonderful Life" (Freemasons Radio Edit)  DAMN this track has legs.  Kinda perfect 80s vocal remix moment from Freemasons.

Kelis "4th Of July" (WAWA Remix) Can't let go of this, I just can't, sorry Kelis did the best dance CD of the year, so remixes are all glitter.

Nick Galea "I Believe" feat. Amba Shepherd (Nick Galea Vocal Mix)  Who is this and why do i love it so?

Jojo "Too Little Too Late" (Raul Rincon Vocal Mix)  While waiting for some new mixes from JOJO I thought I'd share this old one.  She is about to have a huge moment (I hope!)

Sylvester "U Make Me Feel" [Mighty Real] (Bryan Reyes 2010 Revival Remix)  LEGENDARY classic and the children need to know!!!

Britney "Piece of Me" (Kevin St. Croix Mix Edit) Why is this song everywhere in my life right now, I cant shake it and I don't want to.  Oh Robyn.

George Michael: Faith?

In 1987 I begged a sales person at Tower Records on Broadway (Downtown NYC one, remember that slice of record store heaven?) to give me a HUGE Faith Poster when they were done with the display, I was 13.  I was so convincing (and probably so gay) the sales guy wrote my name and phone number on the back of the poster and he did in fact call me when the display came down and gave it to me.  I was so excited.  When I got home and hung it on my bedroom wall, it took over my entire room.  Now that I think about it, my parents were so sweet to allow that. 

Believe it or not I kept that poster all these years and just recently tossed it in a clutter panic.  Time to make more room for Lily's keepsakes and let go of mine I thought.  I'll never hang it up again and well, whatever, it was time.

If you had told me that GM would end up in jail 20 plus years later, I would have laughed.  This is such a sad moment for him and his fans, drug addiction can get so ugly.  Sony was also about to re-release Faith this month, but has canceled that. 

Wonderfully though a Freemasons Dance Mix of I Want Your Sex has leaked and it's super hot. (tk will w.) Check it...

This Week

Incredibly frustrating work week with surprise and change at every turn.  But one thing that stayed the same was the songs I played on repeat over and over and over.

It's funny how this song comes at me like a hurricane in very specific moments in my life.  Here it is again, completely surprised it's here, but not really.
