Yes.  Douche is the new Nerd and this show is catching that at the time.

Andy Dick - solid casting.

I keep tryng to love this season after season.  I guess it's impressive I'm still watching.

Secret Diary Of Call Girl [sho]
I find Billie charming.

The L Word [sho]
Completely worship. 

United States of Tara [sho]
I pretty loyal to Muriel, even though she was kinda mean to me once.

The Real World: Brooklyn [mtv]
I thought I could never watch another Real World again about 5 years ago, but I saw this tender moment between a Trans and a Gay in a cab that felt very sincere to me.  I will watch this season if for not other reason than to commend MTV for not putting together another house of whores.

DietTribe [lifetime]
I'll never watch it, but I'll have it just in case.

Rock Of Love Bus [vh1]
As KM said, here's my celebrities for the next 3 years.  VH1 casting outdid themselves.

Confessions of A Teen Idol [vh1]
Again, outdid themselves.  Please tell me these guys are in on the joke, otherwise it's too depressing.

Bromance [mtv]
Like the worst thing ever.  Is Bordy this desperate to be on TV.  Shame.  I wont watch, but I want it there just in case.

Momma's Boys [nbc]
My surprise fav show of the season.  It's so goooooooood.  Watching mom's realize their prize son's are after only one thing, and that's fake tits, is pretty amazing.

The Wackness & The Dopeness

"I see the dopeness in everything, and you just see the wackness."

It took someone saying they were reminded of me when watching The Wackness to get me to actually watch The Wackness (self-centered much?)  I had experienced the cast interviews back at Sundance '08 and thought that was enough Wackness for me.  Then they sprayed out that lame Hip-Hop marketing campaign and I was totally turned off. 

The Wackness is so much more than a movie about hip-hop; it's a movie about first love, being high in NYC in 1994 (such a good time to be high in NYC), graduating from your Parents, being lost, looking for mentors in all the wrong places, mixtapes, lots of deep shit.   Instead of selling it as the fresh coming-of-age indie that it was, they went for hip-hop, tagging, and hip-hop (mistake).

Anyway, it's out on DVD, I loved it, and I definitely did see myself (and us) in it.  I'd share some of my favorite tracks from the Soundtrack, but I wasn't all that impressed with the soundtrack.  Instead I'll share with you the music I was reminded of when watching that film and it was some great DJ mixes from Super-Blogger FourFour.

PopMuse Plea: Another Frou Frou CD - PLEASE!!!

The trusted iTunes Library Shuffle just produced this old favorite (below) from the incredible (and only) Frou Frou CD.  I might be screaming this in to thin air, but seriously Guy and Immi, do another collabo already - do it for PopMuse. 

Their CD was my favorite of 2002 and in my top 5 of all time.  I'm a huge fan of Guy Sigsworth's productions pretty much every time out of the box, but his work with Imogen Heap really soared like nothing else he's ever done.  Back in 2002, I saw them perform every time I could, (tiny basement performances in Utah (Sundance) and every L.A. show they did (not enough).)

I know, I know, Imogen's solo stuff should suffice, but I've never really found the same results with Immi's solo stuff, I like it OK, but it just, well, it just didn't click with PopMuse.  Sorry.  But I do love here youtube page.

I'll never forget the first time I heard "Let Go" on KCRW, and went to the ends of the earth to score an early copy of their CD, months before it's release (now it would be easy to get, but back then before leaks, it was huge drama.)  I think I mailed a check to some random British Radio DJ, who then mailed me the Promo CD, took weeks though before I could hear "Let Go" a second time - ahhh the days before we could email music with ease.

Anyway, PopMuse would like a sequel to Frou Frou.  Soon.

Carrie Fisher (The Dog) as a Cougar

Can you handle this pic of Carrie Fisher (The Dog)?  She is rocking a major Cougar-look.  Bloghungry kept saying how she looked like she was an old lady trying to look young and hip in that outfit - hence "Cougar".  They should do a Bravo series, The Real House Dogs of Los Angeles and have C. Fish star. 

Friends of ours bought her this coat at Old Navy for our Thanksgiving trip to the Mountains, (YES I'm just getting to the photos now.)  She would only wear it for minutes, I don't think she realizes she can walk in clothes, she just sits there until you take them off her.  But damn did she kill that photo.
