Madonna itunes Playlist

Madonna did one of those Celebrity Playlists over at itunes and never have I laughed so hard staring at an itunes window.  Let's hope she didn't put much thought into this (sadly, I bet she did.)

I'm not gonna rag on her too hard, cause I know you kids flipping worship her.  But seriously, Eminem?  Madge, u still on dat homeskillet, really?  Still-izzle? 

And liking 50 Cent in 2008 will NOT help you look black, young or urban. In fact it makes you look white, old and suburban.  And two tracks from 50 Cent on an 8 song playlist makes you look like a mom at a Bat Mitvah making DJ requests you think your 'daughter will like'.  No.

But I'm happy she is recognizing Kylie, Janet and Rihanna, that's cute for them, I guess.  Click on the above jpegs to read the full story.

No Spoilers: Sex And The City

I love hype.  I do.  I find myself getting hyped up on things I know I won't like; it's how I end up with most concert or comedy show tickets.  Promotional e-mails and posters work on me.  But not this one. 

I'm so surprised to say it, but I don't have much interest in seeing "The Sex and The City Movie". 

Maybe it jumped the shark, or I find this whole thing very over-produced, but PopMuse says: "eh."  The poster is over thought, the girls interview soundbites sound rehearsed, this promotional campaign is overwhelming, it's everywhere and no where does it look fun, just desperate.

I'd love for it to have been an HBO-only movie, that may have worked for me.  Some things work on TV and not the big screen, like Jennifer Aniston. 

Now that said...  I do LOVE the Jennifer Hudson song on the Soundtrack.  It takes a while for it to get going, but once you hit the second half it soars.  Check it out...

See Blake Run

So WOW TV has a new show called "See Blake Run".  I totally stumbled on it knowing nothing, but here's the swirl:

Follow the exploits of WOW runner Blake Jacobs as he drives around town sharing his musings, delivering packages and listening to his own personalized party mix.

This kid's a star. The accent, the t-shirts, the beard, the smile.  Oh and the music cues are very clever too.   

If PopMuse was working at WOW I'd prob have a crush on Blake, I have a thing for delivery boys - just ask Bloghungry, (did you know he was delivering Pizzas when we met?)  And if that's not enough, the way Blake say "Michael" (see eps 3) would melt me.

And I can relate, PopMuse's first job in LA was as a runner for a game show, and although it was miserable sitting in all that traffic, going to those entertainment industry offices was kind of glamorous.

I was just at H&M, and they were selling Men's Jean Shorts.  Yes, seriously. 

I'm not ready for that to come back, I'm not ready at all.  Are you going to go for this?  Really?  Why?  No, I can't, I just can't.

Sing Out and Drive

Driving in LA, when you have the music very loud and you can't hear the world outside, it feels like the world outside can't hear you singing (screaming) along to your car stereo.  This is not the case.

This morning as I was singing (screaming) Chris Brown's new single "Superhuman" I proved this to be true.  "Superhuman" (on a re-release of his latest CD) is really just "No Air" Part 2, slash, I love it.  And what's great about Chris' voice is that it is so nasal, one thinks they can hit those notes he does, but based on the looks of the fellow drivers stuck in traffic and the homeless people on the sidewalk staring at me, PopMuse can't actually hit those notes.

Speaking of singing in your car, last Friday Night me and Bloghungry were driving around and saw this cute gay driving a Silver Merc singing (screaming) that Lady GaGa song "Just Dance".  It made us both laugh and he caught us laughing and I've felt bad about it all week, because I really respect a full commitment to singing in the car - a head snap, a hand slap on the steering wheel, an eye close (well maybe that isn't the safest...)  So if you are reading this, sorry for laughing, the minute you drove off we both commented how cute you were.

And obviously I love that Lady GaGa song too, who doesn't, it's the hottest...

Watched "P.S. I Love You" (well watched half of it) at Bad Movie Night tonight.  This here clip above, is a HOLY F*CKING SHIT Moment (there are many).  It's Hilary Swank singing Prince's "Gett Off" karaoke-style.  Yeah, terrifying.  And that stomach shot - ewwww, having a 16 inch waist is NOT sexy.

Two more notes about this movie.  It's a lesbian film, made by lesbians for lesbians.  CLEARLY.  And they are using Ted Demme's Urn as a prop to stand in for Gerard Butler's, which is totally disgusting.  Talk about rolling over in your urn.

"MAY 5" A MIX BY MBP

"May" CD Mixes are an annual mix I do each year to celebrate my anniversary with Bloghungry.  This one is entitled "May 5", because we have been together for 5 Years. 

Instead of the gooey ballads of past May Mixes this one is more of a Pop Dance Epic.  Much time and care was put into making it so I hope you'll take time and care listening to it (IN ORDER!!!)  There are many more notes about the songs included and the overall themes in the Booklet in the .zip file (links below).

Adam Sandler: Post-Mophobic

What exactly happened to Adam Sandler to make him so homophobic?  He is so brazenly homophobic he is Post-Mophobic.  In fact he is so Post-Mophobic he is going to dedicate the final films of his doomed career to lame gay jokes.  I know he is a big Republican, but damn, you're in Hollywood, how bout a touch of tolerance bitch. 

I want to laugh at the Mariah T-Shirts in this poster and traiier, but coming off of Chuck & Larry I just can't see humor in another miserable gay joke.  Too soon, too soon.

I'm super busy entertaining out of town guests, mad working and cold chilling.  But I thought I would open up the floor to you PopMuse readers with a question...  Whatever happened to Vince Vaughn?  My guess, Jim Beam and Jennifer Aniston.  Talk about a career killing combination.  Thoughts?

Rebecca Romijn Stamos "Darling Nikki"

PopMuse has some crazy sh*t in his itunes.  But this gem appeared in a bizarre shuffle moment and it totally blew my mind.  It's Rebecca Romijn Stamos covering Prince's Purple Rain-era sex epic "Darling Nikki".  I originally found it on a Cleopatra Records Collection of Prince Covers "Party O The Times" years ago, long before she had dropped the Stamos and became a Hot Tranny Mess. 

Did you hear she throwing fits on the set of Ugly Betty.  Glad someone is, that show has suuuuuucked since they got back from striking.

This song is actually quite good though, if you can handle it.
