I'm always appalled by the number of people who do not know this Madonna Moment, and apparently there are a lot of you out there. It is so commonly referred to and quoted by The PopMuse Posse it seems impossible to me?
HISTORY: In 1992 MTV aired a Special where 10 MTV Gen Giants were honored and asked to produce an original bit. Most did performances (REM, MJ, GM) but Madonna (with some help by Alek K.) did this. It's Mads at her very best, catty, self effacing, mean, smart, and well edited.

EXCELLENT - my love affair with Madonna eneded some time ago but I do so remember this (or rather forgot it and you reminded me) - it just shows the humour she has.
